Turmeric's Cancer Cells Killer

KOMPAS.com - British scientists are examining the efficacy of turmeric-based extracts contained in the food spicy curry. Initial allegations, the extract has the potential to kill cancer cells.

Although still in the laboratory scale, tests by a team from the Cork Cancer Research Centre show in dissolved curcumin on esophageal cancer cells.

Some cancer experts say, the findings published in the British Journal of Cancer could help doctors find ways of treatment beyond the current treatment model.

A member of the research team, Dr. Sharon McKenna, acknowledged that the researchers have long known the potential of natural ingredients that heal the wrong cells, such as curcumin.
